Day’s End
The soft colors of sunset reflect off the snow, creating this breathtakingly beautiful shot from Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Christian Schaffer snapped this pic a few months ago when the park’s snowpack was over 8 feet high. Of the experience, she says, “It was so incredibly beautiful and also incredibly cold – all of our electronics died while we were out there except my one camera battery. The cold was worth it though; one of the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever seen.” Photo courtesy of Christian Schaffer. Posted on Tumblr by the US Department of the Interior, 3/6/16.

It is always a treat to see beautiful pictures from around the country and world.
I agree. As Ferris Bueller said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
