Covering 68,000 acres and extending along 35 miles of coastline in California, King Range National Conservation Area preserves the dramatic meeting of the land and the sea. The Douglas-fir peaks attract hikers, campers and mushroom collectors, while the coast beckons to surfers, anglers, beachcombers and abalone divers. Photos by Bob Wick.
