I’ve never made a bread before but would love to smell one straight from the oven.
There’s no doubt that a slice of warm bread covered in butter is one of life’s great treats!
what’s the dark grain mixture in the yellow measuring cup? love wholegrain breads, this sounds delish!
the grain in the cup is the spent grain left over from beer brewing. In this case it was a barley mixture. If you don’t know any home beer brewers (our son and Mrs. Mowry keep us supplied) you can ask any microbrewery to save their spent grain for you. it freezes well. You only use about a cup per loaf.
