A brilliant sunrise illuminates a fresh blanket of snow at Oregon’s Crater Lake National Park. To capture this amazing shot of the sun peeking over the rim of the lake, Alex Noriega had to snowshoe for miles to the park’s west rim, and the extra effort paid off. This photo, taken February 2015, includes views of Wizard Island, Mount Scott and Garfield Peak. Photo courtesy of Alex Noriega. Posted on Tumblr by the US Department of the Interior, 3/22/15.
