It COULD be 1925, though the Westinghouse “Radiola RC” dates from ca. 1922 and the RCA UZ-1320 (the earlier version of this loudspeaker series) dates from 1923. Radio technology was galloping along by leaps and bounds in the ’20s, every year’s products being obsolete within a year or so. Sound familiar? So, if this is 1925, it has less to do with the radio apparatus and more to do perhaps with the fact that it’s the mother, grandmother and the boys relegated to listening in on the “old” set, in another part of the house.
